“WHAT REMAINS: MANMADE”
Steel. Concrete. Plastic. Wire. Dust.
Long after names are forgotten, these things remain on our planet.
They settle into the landscape until the line between what was built and what was buried disappears.
Every fracture. Every layer of oxidation. Every weathered surface is a record of human hands meeting time.
Humanity has always measured progress by what it could build.
Rarely by what it would leave behind.
We manufacture permanence, then abandon it to the elements.
What we call decay is often just time exposing the truth of what we’ve made.
When everything useful has been consumed, built, broken, or abandoned—
what remains?
The answer is often manmade.
